Have you had a chance to check out our new burgundy shade, Ritual? This color is gorgeous all on its own, but today we wanted to showcase some of the awesome mixes you can create with this versatile tone! Whether you’re looking for a deep, dark red, or a soft, smoky pink, the possibilities are limitless. Not sure if your hair is light enough for Electric Paradise? We always recommend a strand test first so you can see exactly how the color will turn out before applying it all over. One of our fav mixes is Electric Paradise and Wrath (for a deep rosy pink) -especially if you're starting with a darker base color! And Electric Paradise and Sunset Orange pair perfectly for a darker, deeper coral hue! used Electric Paradise, Sunset Orange and Virgin Pink for her custom shade! A base of Electric Paradise with just a few drops of Poseidon or Aquamarine will give you a bright purple that will retain most of its UV reactivity! Of course, if you’re not concerned about the UV reactivity you have endless possibilities. You can mix in other UV reactive colors with Electric Paradise to create a custom shade while preserving that UV glow! Porange and Electric Paradise mix well to create a neon peach color, or you can use Neon Moon and Arctic Mist with a dollop of Electric Paradise for more of a muted rose gold hue. And as the color fades, the UV reactivity will fade out as well. Just keep in mind that on a darker base (or in a mix with non UV colors) the UV reactivity may be harder to see - the more vibrant and visible the color is, the more brightly the color will glow. Since Electric Paradise is a fairly medium tone, it will turn out the most bright and vibrant on hair that is lightened to a level 8 or lighter! But it will give a rose gold tint to a natural blonde or light brown base! If you do a strand test and it doesn't show up well, though, you can add a few drops of a deeper shade, like Poison or Virgin Pink, for a more punched up version. ![]()
